Welcome to Gold Massage Therapy LLC. By booking or receiving a massage session, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Nature of Services

Massage therapy is provided for stress reduction, relaxation, relief of muscular tension, and improvement of circulation and energy flow. It is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Client Responsibilities and Acknowledgments

Clients must disclose all known medical conditions, injuries, and medications before the session.
Massage therapy is entirely therapeutic and non-sexual in nature.
Clients should immediately inform the therapist of any pain or discomfort so pressure or technique can be adjusted.
Clients assume full responsibility for any risks or side effects (e.g., temporary soreness or bruising) associated with massage therapy.

3. Scheduling & Appointments

Services are by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for check-in and preparation.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened session with full payment required.
New clients must complete a health intake form before their first appointment.

4. Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a 50% late cancellation fee.
No-shows will be charged 100% of the session fee.
Repeated cancellations may result in refusal of future service.

5. Payments

Payment is due at the time of service.
Accepted forms of payment: cash, and credit/debit cards via Square.
If paying by card, a processing fee will be added to the total.
Returned payments or chargebacks (e.g. bounced checks) incur a $50 administrative fee.
Gift certificates and prepaid packages are non-refundable but may be transferred with prior approval.
Gratuities are appreciated but never expected.

6. Professional Boundaries

Massage is strictly therapeutic and non-sexual. Any inappropriate behavior will result in session termination, full charge, and potential report to authorities.
Clients are properly draped at all times; only the area being worked on will be exposed.
The therapist reserves the right to refuse or end any session that compromises safety, health, or professional boundaries.

7. Health & Safety

Clients who are ill, contagious, or have open wounds should reschedule with no penalty for cancellation.
The therapist may decline service if a client appears sick or under the influence.
All linens and tools are sanitized in compliance with health regulations.

8. Scope of Practice

Massage therapists at Gold Massage Therapy LLC do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or perform spinal adjustments.

9. Service Precautions

Deep tissue massage may cause minor soreness or bruising.
Cupping and scraping may leave temporary marks that fade naturally.
Prenatal massage is only provided after the first trimester and may require doctor’s clearance.

10. Therapist Rights

The therapist reserves the right to refuse or terminate service if:

The client’s health is contraindicated for massage,
The client behaves disrespectfully, or
The client violates cancellation or payment policies.

The therapist may also reschedule sessions due to illness, emergency, or unsafe conditions.

11. Liability Waiver

By receiving massage services, the client agrees to release and hold harmless Gold Massage Therapy LLC, the therapist, and all employees or affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or damages related to massage services, except in cases of gross negligence.

12. Consent to Treat

I understand that massage therapy is non-sexual and therapeutic in nature.
I have disclosed all relevant health information and consent to treatment.
I understand I may stop or modify treatment at any time.
Clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian present and provide written consent.
